Your Designer

Elizabeth Miles is the daughter of an architect and an artist. As a child she watched her father's architectural designs as he worked from the sketch of an idea through to fully constructed homes. Elizabeth also learned by observing her mother create beautiful artwork in many different media. Gradually she could visualize project concepts and artwork, before pencil ever touched paper, and this became second nature to her. Although Elizabeth's first degree and post-graduate studies are in vocal music performance (a different story entirely) - it is another form of artistic expression that she could not resist, and which drew her back into earning a degree in art & design.

Elizabeth has worked in graphic design, illustration, photography, and interior design for the past twenty-five years, spending fourteen years of that time working for three major architectural firms in the KC metropolitan area. She has created print and digital work in marketing & advertising for a wide variety of industries as both employee and consultant. (See Elizabeth's resume for a complete listing).

A few years ago, Elizabeth began staging homes for a real estate agent friend. She found she had a flair this sort of work, and had a great time with it! It seemed a natural part of this process to create composite illustrations which allowed clients and real estate agents visualize how implementing these changes would help their homes look better and sell faster. These illustrations helped clients feel more comfortable when they could physically see the plan/composite illustration on paper. Soon Elizabeth was creating composite illustrations as an interior designer for the realtors themselves, for their own homes. Word began to spread, and she began receiving requests from friends, and friends of friends, etc., for the range of work illustrated on this website. Elizabeth realized that with nearly every project she was using the phrase, "Now Visualize This", hence this new enterprise seemed to name itself!

"I have a real passion for this work. I enjoy every step of it! I find it very fulfilling to help clients visualize their projects. After they see the composite illustrations they seem to relax, and begin feel excited and hopeful for what "will be", allowing themselves to enjoy the entire process. The best compliment I get is when clients tell me that they can't believe that I was able to translate exactly what they wanted - when they were unable to visualize it themselves!"
